Who We Are

CE-Bar Fire Department is a combination career and volunteer non-profit emergency services organization located in Travis County just west of Austin, Texas. Ce-Bar Fire Department provides fire suppression and First Response Emergency Medical Services to the neighborhoods of Emergency Service District 10 including Austin Lake Hills, Barton Creek West, Patterson Lane, Crystal Creek, Crystal Mountain, Dominion Hills, Seven Oaks, Bella Lago, Senna Hills as well as Barton Creek Elementary and West Ridge Middle Schools. The district services approximately ten square miles of residential, commercial and undeveloped properties.

With 11 full time employees, 6 part-time employees, and approximately 15 active volunteers, Ce-Bar operates a minimum staffing level of three full-time personnel, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as well as 2 full-time Command Staff Monday through Friday. We operate a total of 8 apparatus that includes 2 Engines, 2 Command Trucks, 1 Squad for heavy rescue, 1 Brush Truck, 1 Support Mobile Air Truck, and 1 Tender.

CE-Bar Fire department was formed in 1968 as an all volunteer department in response to the need for fire suppression in Western Travis County. It was named after the CE-Bar Ranch, which occupied much of the land that now forms the Lake Hills community. Donations and contributions were the sole source of funding until the formation of Travis County Rural Fire Prevention District #10 in 1985 when property tax assessment became the primary source of funds. In 1994, the constituents of the TCRFD#10 voted to convert to Travis County Emergency Services District #10 increasing the capability and services provided by CE-Bar Fire Department. Although we are funded by tax dollars, your contributions are still appreciated.
